County PIHC

Our Premier Intermediate hurlers suffered a disappointing 2-18 to 0-13 loss to Clonakenny in Borris-Ileigh on Saturday last (see report). Hard luck to all involved. Our final round outing in the county championship will be against Newport in a game which is a must-win encounter in order to avoid a relegation battle.

Club Lotto 

The jackpot is now €7,000 and the club are appealing to all club members to play the club lotto online through our Clubzap app or by logging on to www.silverminesgaa.com.

Under 19

Our under 19 hurlers drew 1-16 apiece with Lorrha Rovers on Wednesday last in Lorrha, a result which sees both teams progress to the North quarter-finals.

Camogie Fixtures

Our Junior B side face Portroe in Dolla on Friday 18thAug at 7pm. Our under 16’s play Athenry in a challenge in Dolla on Sunday at 12 noon while our seniors are out against Nenagh Eire Og in Nenagh on Sunday at 2pm.

LGFA

Our under 12 side will take part in a Munster blitz at 10.30am in Fethard this coming Saturday.

Tipperary GAA Draw

We are appealing to all club members to join the new Tipperary GAA for the coming year. This year there will be a prize fund of over €600,000 with the first prize every month a car or a cash alternative of 18k. There are also a raft of cash prizes every month as well as a lucky lotto draw also where you pick your four numbers for the year. There will be a draw each month with the first draw in August and will run up to May 2024. Up to 70 percent of funds raised go back to local clubs also. Contact any committee member for further details. To join for the year is just €100 and remember if you are not in you can’t win!
