Dolla lights up for Bloody Sunday remembrance

Dolla GAA Grounds was lit up for a special @ Bloody Sunday' remembrance ceremony on Saturday evening last to commemorate the 14 people who lost their lives in Croke Park on November 21st 1920.

A short socially distanced ceremony was celebrated by Fr. Brendan Moloney and candles were lit as part of the event. The pitches were also lit up and the scoreboard was re-configured to commemorate the event.

New Hurling Management

Holycross/Ballycahill native, Michael Ferncombe will take over as manager for the coming season with Conor Doyle and another selector yet to be announced joining his backroom team. This is Michael’s first stint in the north division having previously managed teams in the Mid and West divisions. We would like to thank last year’s management team headed by Declan Corcoran for all their work and wish Michael and his incoming team the very best of luck.

Covid-19 Restrictions

Unfortunately, due to Level 5 Covid-19 restrictions all club matches are postponed and the clubhouse and dressing rooms remain closed in Dolla. However, our walking track is still open to all members. We would appeal to everyone using our facilities to continue to maintain social distancing and abide by all guidelines.

Congratulations

Congratulations to the Tipperary football team and manager, David Power on bridging an 85-year gap to capture the Munster Football Senior Championship. Well done to all involved on what was a hugely historic day for Tipperary.
