Congrats to our U16 girls and their mentors on their excellent win over Ballina in the Ragg today. The game was played in glorious sunshine and the mines girls played with a strong breeze in the first half .An early goal helped settle the girls nerves but Ballina fought back to leave just 3 points between the teams at half-time with Katie Ryan Donnellan having to make 2 excellent saves. The mines girls took off in the second half and 2 early goals and a point put then into a commanding lead which they were never to lose . 2 further fine goals helped endure the girls ran out winners on a score line of 5-5 to 1-8. Thanks to all those who came to support the girls on a great day for the camogie club.
