County League

Silvermines were defeated by Portroe on a scoreline of 3-19 to 0-15  in the second round of the County League in Dolla on Sunday afternoon last.
Silvermines trailed by 3-8 to 0-10  at the break following four first half points from Eoin Grace (five frees), Daniel McKelvey, Cynan Bailey, Oisin Murphy, Danny Quinn and Padraig Fogarty.
The concession of three first half goals proved hugely detrimental though and Silvermines added just five further points to their tally in the second half with Portroe running out deserving victors on the day.

Junior B League

Silvermines were defeated by a strong Kiladangan side on a scoreline of 2-24 to 1-8 in the first round of the Junior B North Tipperary Hurling League on Sunday last in Puckane. The 'Mines trailed by 1-16 to 0-2 at the break following a poor opening half. Fionn Ryan Mulqueen netted in the 52nd minute while Sean Quinlan, Liam Grace and Bobby O'Connor added further points late on but the home side proved far too strong and ran out easy winners.
