The Silvermines recorded a fine win in Ballina this evening in the u14 North Féile Semi-Final on a score line of 2-7 to 2-4. 2 early points from David Ryan and Ryley Kinehan were cancelled out by a Ballina goal. 3 points followed from play from Sean Ryan, Alex Reynolds and David Ryan and put the mines 2 points up. However, a goal and a point approaching half-time left Ballina 2 points up after playing against the breeze. In the second half, with the backs getting on top, the mines took the lead after a great ball from Sean Ryan found David Ryan who finished to the net. 2 pointed frees Alex Reynolds after fouls on Robert Kenneally and Sean Ryan put the mines 3 points up. A great goal from Danny Quinn closed out a great win.
