Junior ‘B’ Hurling



Congratulations to our Junior ‘B’ hurlers and management team who overcame Knockshegowna after extra-time in what proved an enthralling north final in Toomevara on Sunday. Both sides were locked at 0-10 apiece at half-time and again at  full-time, 0-18 apiece. Silvermines pushed on in extra-time to record a fully deserved 0-26 to 1-21 victory over a battling Knockshegowna side. We are now out in the county quarter-final this coming weekend. Hallowe'en Walkathon



Silvermines GAA are hosting a Hallowe'en Walkathon as part of the Silvermines goes to the Movies Fundraiser. The walkathon will take place at Dolla GAA Grounds on October 31st at 7pm for what promises to be a spooktacular evening filled with fun, games and treats.

Anyone who wishes to sign up can contact any club officer with the club needing everyone to make the event a success.





Junior C Hurling

Best of luck to the Junior C hurlers who take on Ballinahinch in the North semi-final in Dolla on Sunday next at 12 noon.

LGFA Tipperary Junior B Final



Hard luck to the St. Odhran's Silvermines who were edged out by just a single point, 3-5 to 1-10by a battling Emly side in the county final on Sunday. Silvermines started broghtly with an early Sarah Madden goal and led at the break by five points, 1-7 to 1-2. However, Emly rallied in the second half with two further goals providing the necessary platform for a solitary point victory.
