County Premier Intermediate Hurling Championship
Well done to our Premier Intermediate hurlers and management who overcame Eire Og Annacarty by 2-19 to 2-17 in their final county PIHC group on Saturday in Borris-Ileigh. We now await whether we are to be drawn out in the preliminary quarter final draw or progress to a quarter final proper on the weekend after next.

U13B County Semi-Final
Well done to our U13 players, management and mentors in following their 4-4 to 3-2 county semi-final against victory over west champions, Clonoulty on Saturday last Our goal scorers were Daniel Sherlock, Archie Walsh (2) and Conor Harrington with the points coming from Conor Harrington (2) and Daniel Sherlock (2). We now face Loughmore/Castleiney in a hugely anticipated county final next Saturday in Holycross (throw-in 12.30pm).
U15 A Plate Semi Final
Hard luck to our U15 hurlers in their North U15 B hurling plate quarter-final clash against Roscrea in Roscrea on Thursday evening last. The boys lost out on a scoreline of 0-10 to 3-9.
Senior Camogie
Well done to our senior camogie side who overcame Burgess/Duharra by 0-12 to 0-11 on Saturday in Kilcolman. It proved a tight game and a big boost to the senior camogie side following a midweek 2-10 to 1-9 defeat to Eire Og Annacarty.
U-14 LGFA
Well done to our U14 girls who won the county U-14 final by 1-7 to 2-0, overcoming a strong Moycarkey-Borris side.
Club Fundraiser
Silvermines GAA Club in conjunction with Silvermines Camogie, Handball and LGFA are in the process of organising ‘Silvermines Goes to the Movies’ a joint fundraiser in aid of the club development and the completion of the sports hall in Dolla. This promises to be a fantastic event and will culminate in a ‘Movie Night’ on Saturday 8th of November in the Abbey Court Hotel.
