Junior League

 

Well done to our junior hurlers who secured a hard-fought 4-13 to 1-18victory away to Newport on Saturday evening last in the first round of the North Tipperary Junior A league. Opening half goals from Ronan Cunneen and Cathal Treacy ensured Silvermines held a deserved three-point lead at the break, 2-6 to 1-6.

A brace of Orrie Quirke points following the restart extended the ‘Mines advantage before a 33rdminute goal from Dan Ryan fired the visitors eight clear.

Cathal Treacy bagged a second goal on 38 minutes to put Silvermines well in control and although Newport battled gamely to reduce the deficit in the final quarter the ‘Mines kept the scoreboard ticking to ensure a deserved four-point victory.

 

County League

We are down to play Boherlahan-Dualla in the third round of the county league on Sunday at 12 noon. Best of luck to all involved.

Our Lotto jackpot is now €4,300. Tickets can be bought from committee members or in a number of outlets in Nenagh where the Lotto jackpot is displayed. Lotto tickets can also be bought and renewed online.

 

U-15 Football

AN injury hit Silvermines side lost out to Kiladangan by 3-11 to 2-7 in Dolla in the first round of the championship on Thursday last Our next outing is this Thursday away to Moneygall at 7pm.



U-13 Football

Our U-13 footballers play Newport away on Monday evening next at 7.40 pm. 

 

Junior B Camogie

Hard luck to our Junior camogie side who lost out to a strong Holycross/Ballycahill side by 3-11 to 0-5 on Saturday in Holycross.

 

Allianz League Hurling Final

Commiserations to Jason Forde and Michael Corcoran and the Tipperary team and management following their Allianz NHL final loss to Cork in Pairc Uí Chaoimh on Sunday.
