Award for Silvermines hurler
Congratulations to Ronan Cunneen who was recently selected as North Tipperary Junior B hurler of the year following a number of impressive performances throughout the season.
Ronan was part of the Silvermines Junior B side who were crowned North Tipperary league and championship champions. Well done Ronan from all in Silvermines GAA.
Silvermines GAA Lights Up Campaign
The Silvermines GAA Club is seeking to bring the community together to enjoy healthy walks in the safe, bright, environment of our GAA club. In a bid to make exercise more accessible on the dark winter nights the ‘Ireland Lights Up’ campaign will see the Silvermines GAA Club turn on the walking track floodlights
between 7pm and 8pm each Thursday for a six-week period.
The event is being organised by the Silvermines GAA Health and Wellbeing group and is suitable for all ages and abilities. Everyone is encouraged to meet in Dolla from 6.50pm as registration is required each evening. There is no charge.So spread the word and enjoy a walk and a cup of tea or coffee afterwards. All are welcome.
Lotto
Our Lotto jackpot is now €3,400. Tickets can be bought from committee members or in a number of outlets in Nenagh where the Lotto jackpot is displayed. Lotto tickets can also be bought and renewed online.
Membership
2025 Club & Gym Membership are now due. Membership runs from January to December and can be renewed on Foireann website and app. We would kindly ask that everyone renew their membership as soon as possible.
Senior Tipperary Debut
Congratulations to Michael Corcoran and Jason Forde who both lined out in Tipperary 's win over Wexford in the second round of the Allianz National Hurling League in Semple Stadium on Sunday. Best of luck to Michael and Jason in next Sunday's clash with Limerick in the Gaelic Grounds.
Silvermines Handball
Congratulations to all the juveniles who competed in the handball county finals in Dolla over the weekend. There was some fantastic games played from all ages.
Well done to our U10 Doubles Billy Quirke & Daire Sherlock who played brilliantly in their first county final today along with our U14 Singles Ben Platt who was excellent but just came up short. Our U15 Doubles James Ryan & James Hanrahan and our U16 Doubles Paul Shanahan & Robert Ryan did extremely well considering they were both up against very good opposition from Carraig on Suir.
