County PIHC Championship
The very best of luck to our Premier Intermediate hurlers in their first round match against Ballina this Saturday in a group which also contains Carrick Swans and Upperchurch/Drombane this weekend. Throw in is at 2pm in Nenagh. Please come out and support the lads as they embark on this year’s county campaign.
Junior B’s
Our Junior B side game against Knockshegowna was postponed due to a bereavement in the Knockshegowna club. We are down to play Burgess on this Thursday evening at 7.30pm in Kilcolman.
U-13 Hurling
Our U-13 D hurlers defeated Newport by 7-5 to 0-6 while U-13 A side were defeated by Newport on a scoreline of 3-4 to 0-10 in Round 4 of the North championship on Tuesday last. Our D side and our A side are away to Kilruane this Tuesday evening with throw-in times of 7pm and 8pm respectively. Round 7 on Monday 29th July will see both teams play Nenagh Eire Og in Dolla.
U19 North A Championship
Well done to our U-19 hurlers who overcame Clonakenny/Moneygall by 4-18 to 0-15 in the first round of the U-19 championship at 7.30pm in Dolla on Wednesday evening last.
U15 North B Championship
Our U-15 hurlers suffered a heavy 5-26 to 1-4 defeat to Burgess in Kilcolman on Thursday last. This week we face Borrisokane in Dolla at 7.30pm on Thursday evening.
Camogie
Well done to Ciara Ryan and Miriam Murphy who were part of the Tipperary side who defeated Armagh in the All-Ireland Junior camogie semi-final in Ashbourne on Saturday. Tipperary will now face Laois in the final.
Best of luck also to Sarah Madden and Ellen Cunneen and the Tipperary Senior team who face Galway in the All-Ireland semi-final in Galway on Saturday.
Camán to 120 Event
Well done to our under 12 camogie players who represented the club at the Camán to 120 event in the Gaelic Grounds in Limerick last week. The girls played 3 games against De La Salle, Bruff and Fr. O’Neills and did themselves proud. Well done everybody.
Lotto Jackpot
Our club Lotto is now at 11,700 euro. Tickets can be bought from committee members or in a number of outlets in Nenagh where the Lotto jackpot is displayed. Lotto tickets can also be bought and renewed online.
Tipperary GAA Clubs Draw
Support is being sought for the Tipperary GAA Clubs Draw which is being promoted by Tipperary GAA to contribute towards some great initiatives. The draw also supports the clubs with 50 per cent of ticket sales going back to the clubs. There is also a 30k prize fund with the first draw taking place in July.
