Junior C

Silvermines lost out on a scoreline of 3-14 to 2-14 to Lorrha in what proved an entertaining Junior C championship clash in Dolla on Sunday last.

Silvermines led by 2-9 to 1-6 at the break after two quick-fire goals in the closing stages of the half from Brian Leamy and TJ Timmons ensured the Mines took a three-point cushion to the dressing room.

Silvermines were pegged back in the second half but points from TJ Timmons, Jack Corcoran, Sean Quinlan (three frees) kept the scoreboard ticking for the home side. The’ Mines led by a solitary point as the 60-minute mark approached by a late goal from the visitors saw them snatch victory from the jaws of defeat.

Scorers: S. Quinlan 0-12 (0-5f, 0-1 65’), TJ Timmons 1-1, Brian Leamy 1-0, J. Corcoran 0-1.

Our next outing will be against Borris-Ileigh on Dolla on Sunday next at 3.30pm.

North Under 21 ‘B’ Hurling

We are down to play Lorrha/Shannon Rovers in the opening round of the North Tipperary under 21 championship at 2pm on Sunday 22nd October in Lorrha.

Under 15’s win Shield

Well done to our under 15 hurlers who overcame Kilruane to capture the North Tipperary Shield on a scoreline of 6-14 to 5-14 in what proved a very highly entertaining game in Cloughjordan on Thursday nightlast. Well done boys on what was a fantastic win.
